I’ve Reopened My Studio Door 🎨

🎨 Hello Fellow Artist!

It feels really good to write you today.

The past few months have been a quieter season for me online… but behind the scenes, I’ve actually been painting more than ever.

Sometimes, as creators, we need those stretches of uninterrupted studio time — time to experiment, recharge creatively, and simply enjoy the process again without a camera running.

And that’s exactly where I’ve been.

Lately, I’ve felt that familiar spark returning — especially as we begin moving toward spring. I’ve been sketching and painting landscapes, dreaming about warm plein air days, and feeling really inspired to get back outside with my paints again.

So with happiness and love, I’ve decided to reopen my studio door over on Patreon. 🌿

Not like a formal classroom.
Not with perfection.
But with a relaxed, behind-the-scenes approach to sharing art.

Inside Patreon, I’ll be sharing things like:

• Real-time painting tutorials
• Paint-with-me sessions
• Art supply favorites & reviews
• Works in progress
• Plein air studies and outdoor painting days
• Casual studio chats and gentle critiques

I just posted my first update back — along with the replay of yesterday’s live Zoom session, where I shared a preview and painting tips from my upcoming "A Peaceful Swing" landscape watercolor tutorial that will drop next week.

If you’d like to come paint with me, you can visit here:

There’s also a free tier if you’d simply like studio updates and inspiration. It feels like the right time to reconnect, create, and head into this new season of painting together. I’d love to see you there.

Happy painting and hope to see you in the studio soon!
Molly 🌻

P.S. For my Joyful Watercolor course community over on Thinkific — the Swing Landscape tutorial will be available for you there as well, so there’s no need to join Patreon just for that lesson. ☺️

Mollys Fine Art Oil Painting Tutorial

White Roses in Oils, I had lots of fun experimenting with the background! Hello Fellow Artists! Something has been quietly growing in my studio these past few weeks. 🖌️ It’s sitting right next to my watercolor palette… but slowly taking over...it's oil paints! When I was a teenager, I had the best art instructor. I had never painted before—just drawing and a bit of pastels. But my instructor didn’t care, he threw me right into oils! He even took us out into the parking lot to paint the back...

"April Showers" Mollys Fine Art Watercolor Tutorial

"April Showers" Molly's Fine Art. My largest painting yet! Hello Fellow Artist! Yay! I just finished the largest watercolor I’ve ever painted! And I almost didn't finish it. 😳 For months, it was sitting on a chair, out of the way of the main part of my studio, halfway finished. And when I would see it, I would say to myself, "someday..." Then, thankfully, there was a call for art at my local art gallery, the theme was Spring. I glanced at the half-finished painting that had been waiting...
